this week illo Friday's topic is "wisdom". hmm...it is very difficult to actually define what is "wisdom", yet for me, what Cicero said might be the most appropriately stated: "The Function of Wisdom is to discriminate between good and evil". whilst i believe surviving in today's world, able to see the good from the evils (& vice versa) and then shape one's own mind to well balance both in everyday life is the true wisdom.
This is piece is my first entry created mostly by computer. I'm just learning to use photoshop, thus still have many area need to be improved! so, hope can hear some comment from everyone then i can improve :D
Oops, this drawing is base on my pencil sketch...i actually love my original sketch more so i've scanned and post it here anyway. when i have time i'd finish this drawing...with my own hand (keke, which is what i still found more comfortable to play with...keke ^_^)

I love the concept and the sketch is wonderful. The finished product is nice but seems somewhat overdone to me. Try to limit the colors or the amount of texture that you use... otherwise you lose a lot of the line work that is so beautiful in this piece. Keep it up though... looks great!
Its nice, but I like the freedom of your sketch best.
It's nice:)
Great illustration! The sketch has some powerful line work to it, that tends to get a little lost when you start to work it in photoshop. I like them both though - nice work!
lovely!
Thanks for the great advice and encouragements! So important for illo starter lke me :D
i have the same feeling towards the photoshop work as well, especially the lossing track of the line works...hope that i can improve in the skill of the balancing!! thanks and C U on the Net again ^_^
What a beautiful illustration. I really want to participate in Illustration Friday so bad...but I just can't find the extra time!!
This is nice! And I like how your illustrations incorporate words of wisdom within. :)
Nice illo!
